Licensed in both Florida and New York, a South Florida native and resident Barry E. Haimo, Esq. is an attorney practicing exclusively in the fields of estate and business planning (also known as trusts and estates, estate law or trust law, and includes wills, trusts, probate, business planning and asset protection ). He helps families plan for incapacity and death, insulates them from personal liability and preserves and protects their assets for future generations. Haimo’s practice also includes representing and advising businesses (LLCs, LPs, LLPs, corporations) on their organization, formation, taxation, asset protection and operation. Combining his education and business expertise with his entrepreneurial spirit, Haimo frequently serves as a consultant, director, business advisor and attorney for startup companies.
Haimo aims to develop strong personal relationships with his clients and provide them with a unique service, far more valuable than the fees incurred. Passionate about the benefits of estate and business planning, Haimo frequently gives seminars and information-sessions on tax and estate planning strategies and techniques and asset protection. Haimo earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Florida, a Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation from New York Law School. He has previously worked in the corporate tax department at Deutsche Bank on Wall Street before pursuing his interest in estate and business planning at a small estate and business planning boutique law firm in Miami, Florida. In law school, Haimo co-published an article regarding securities law as they relate to consumer protection, which has been entered in the congressional record in Washington, D.C.
