What is an Engagement Agreement?
An engagement agreement reflects the material terms of representation. We have learned through experience that clients prefer a concise outline of what they can expect from the firm and what the firm can expect from them. These terms identify the scope of representation, the agreed upon billing structure, who stores original documents, how long these documents are stored, and what happens if representation is prematurely terminated by either party. Our engagement agreements are generally sent electronically to our clients, which makes it ultra convenient to execute them and begin moving forward with representation.
